About Padel.

Game rules.

In general.

Padel is a sport that is played only in pairs.

The players are enclosed on a field measuring 10 x 20 meters surrounded by transparent walls and a metal fence.

The two teams are separated by a padel net, and there are lines on the surface of the field that mark the serving fields.

Players are allowed to bounce the ball off the walls, and after bouncing off the field, the ball can bounce off the walls and metal fence and bounce in unexpected directions.

Scoring.

Padel uses the same scoring system as tennis. It takes six games (games) to win a set, and the team that wins two sets wins the match. The scoring is identical to that in tennis, ie 15/0, 30/0, 40/0, advantage, deuce, etc. If the set reaches a draw 6/6, a tie-break is played.

Serving.

The game begins by serving diagonally as in tennis with two service attempts (first and second serve). The serving player must be behind the serving line.

The player receiving the service can be wherever he wants to be on the field, diagonally from the player serving.

It is served in such a way that the ball is hit at the waist level, after bouncing off the field. The ball must bounce in the field of service before the player receiving the service strikes.

In case the ball does not fall into the service reception field, it is considered a service error . In the event that the ball hits the metal fence after bouncing into the service area, it is considered a service error . If the ball touches the top of the net before bouncing, and then falls into the service reception area and does not hit the metal fence, the service is repeated.

Game.

Once the ball is in play, all balls crossing the net must first bounce on the surface of the opponent's side before hitting the wall.

Players can hit the ball like a volley. Players can hit the ball after it bounces and bounces off the wall and return it to the opponent's side.

Just like in tennis, the ball may bounce only once on your side and may only be hit once. The ball may be hit hard to bounce off the surface or wall , but the opposing team may also run off the field and try to return it to play.
